PET strapping bands have a wide range of uses, but are especially suitable for the secure and stable strapping of freight during transport . Packaging gains considerable stability with PET strapping, and multi-layer packages can also be securely tied together with it to prevent them from tipping over . With a linear breaking strength of approximately 420 kg , this PET strap is particularly tear- and splice-resistant .

With an elasticity of around 15 percent, this is much stiffer and less flexible than comparable woven strapping . This makes it much easier to guide under pallets than other strapping types. The easiest way to strap is with the help of a strapping dispenser and a standard battery-operated strapping tool or reel tensioner. Thanks to its diamond-shaped embossing, this green strapping is much more slip-resistant and has a better grip than smooth plastic straps. For particularly sensitive or unstable outer packaging, the additional use of edge protectors is recommended . These can be made of hard cardboard, metal, or plastic and are placed on the edges of the outer packaging before the strap is pulled over it. Incidentally , up to 52 rolls can be stacked on a pallet to save space .
