REGUPOL® cargo mat 7210 is the most commonly used anti-slip mat quality for load securing. This quality grade has a very good price/performance ratio and can be used several times. Our anti-slip mats can achieve a coefficient of sliding friction of over 0.8μ when optimised material combinations are used. Please note that according to the VDI guidelines, a coefficient of sliding friction of max. 0.6μ may be assumed and we do not publish any generalised coefficients of sliding friction.
The coefficient of sliding friction of friction-enhancing underlays depends, among other things, on the material pairing, the temperature, the condition of the material surfaces and the anti-slip mat (soiling or moisture, etc.). In order to achieve optimum slip resistance, contact surfaces, i.e. the load and floor, must be swept clean, free of grease and, above all, dry.
