Composite strapping is a textile strapping made from parallel polyester fibres coated with plastic. It is often also referred to as composite strapping. It is relatively stiff compared to the WG strap and is therefore easier and quicker to apply under the pallets without the need for an extra palletising needle.
Composite straps are available in our shop in various widths and strengths. The most common dimensions are 25 mm with a breaking load of 925 daN, 19 mm with a breaking load of 625 daN and 16 mm with a breaking load of 550 daN.
Areas of application for composite straps
With our composite strapping, there is often no need for a separate edge protector, as the sturdy plastic coating already protects the polyester threads. The strap has a very good tensile strength at (system strength corresponding to the linear breaking load times two minus the losses at the seal depending on various factors such as humidity, temperature and similar). The strapping is often used in the building materials and transport industry as well as for medium to heavy general cargo pallets .
